Field Study Expert (m/f/d)

RIFCON GmbH was founded in 2000 to make a significant contribution to consumer protection, environmental conservation, and nature preservation. Approximately 200 scientists work in the fields of agrosciences, environmental impact and biodiversity assessments. Our team operates from our headquarters in Hirschberg, near the beautiful city of Heidelberg, as well as from our offices in Ludwigshafen or remotely from home.

Our Field Department is looking for a Field Study Expert with focus on terrestrial studies (residue studies, studies with arthropods, soil mesofauna, earthworms and/or pollinators).

You will be involved in various aspects of GLP field studies conducted in the context of the registration of agrochemicals. This means in more detail:
  • Participation in different GLP field studies primarily in Europe: Assisting our study directors and principal investigators with the preparation of study plans, test site selection and communication with farmers, subcontractors and clients, set-up of field trials, sampling of diverse matrices (vegetation, soil, arthropods, earthworms, bees, honey etc.), application of agrochemicals, evaluation of study results including statistical analysis, preparation of reports, monitoring of field studies and laboratory work within multi-site projects
  • Cooperation with other departments of RIFCON GmbH on all project levels
  • Development of new field study types within the field department teams
  • The position offers the opportunity for a development towards taking over the responsibility of principal investigators or study directors at RIFCON GmbH

  • Scientific background in natural sciences such as biology, environmental or agro sciences or equivalent disciplines
  • Faunistic knowledge would be advantageous (entomologist, knowledge of soil organisms)
  • Very good level of written and spoken English and German, additional languages would be an asset
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying study types and study schedules
  • Prepared to travel and stay away from home
  • Talent for improvisation
  • Full, clean driving license is required
  • Technical understanding would be advantageous
  • Experience in GLP would be advantageous
