The Role:
Application Engineer – Fiber Optic Cabling Systems
You’ll act as a technical expert on fibre cabling solutions, supporting installers, end-users, and partners. The role blends training delivery, on-site troubleshooting, and product application consultation. You will ensure correct installation and usage, provide post-sales support, and communicate market feedback to internal product teams.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical training, demos, and onsite support to customers and partners.
- Recommend system configurations, installation methods, and part numbers.
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with specs and investigate performance issues.
- Document field observations and collaborate with product management and quality teams.
- Serve as a bridge between customers and internal development to suggest product enhancements.
- Travel extensively within DACH and across EMEA
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Engineering degree required (Telecom, Datacom, or related preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (ideally telecom/datacom).
- Fluent in German and English (written & spoken); additional languages a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
- Strong communication, training, and presentation skills.
- Hands-on troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and FTTH knowledge desired.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.
