We are looking for a Cluster Manager in DE SouthernCluster(Stuttgart-Munich area) to play a key role in leading VendorFlex operations in DE managing a team of Vendor Flex ProcessAssistants based at our vendors' sites across the cluster. As aCluster Manager, you will own the performance & development ofthe Vendor Flex program for your cluster& lead continuousimprovement activities in DE and across Europe. You will representAmazon to our vendors and logistics providers, visiting sites on aregular basis, and will also manage the interactions with allAmazon internal stakeholders : WHS, HR, Transportation, S&OP,Finance, Retail and many others. The role is primarily a Monday toFriday day shift role, although some flexibility is required as perbusiness needs. Key job responsibilities - Maintain healthand safety standards at all sites and promote a positive health andsafety culture within the organization. • Lead and coach a diverseteam of Process Assitants at vendors sites, in a very fast paced,high volume environment, adapting to an ambiguous landscape andfrequent changes in priorities. • Establish and maintain a strongprofessional relationship with the vendors and the potentialvendors’ service provider (3PL). • Conducting audit & processchange activities using Lean-6sigma methods (Gemba Walk, Kaizenetc) • Perform in-depth analysis of complex issues and then leadimprovement initiatives to achieve error elimination and improvefinancial metrics. • Collaborate on multiple projects in aninternational context, aligning with teams in other countries tocontinually raise the bar for our clients & explore newopportunities. • Traveling in Germany to 50% of the time, for sitevisits and supplier meetings - mainly within the cluster you'reresponsible for. Position to be based flexible in thecentral/southern part of Germany (Nuernberg, Hof). About the teamVendor Flex is an innovative program from Amazon that significantlyaccelerates the supply chain with our major vendors, while reducingcosts and carbon footprint. We implement Amazon Fulfillmenttechnology and processes directly at our vendors' warehouses toprepare customer orders, which are then shipped through ourtransportation network with next-day delivery capability. Byavoiding deliveries to Amazon Fulfillment Centers and storageneeds, the Vendor Flex program dramatically increases theresponsiveness of our vendors. Each Vendor Flex site worksindependently and, like a small warehouse, from receiving stock toshipping orders and inventory management, offers a global view ofall the flows in a distribution center. GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification • English and German• Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook,PowerPoint and MS Project BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN • Previousexperience in managing teams remotely in a dynamic environment. -Experience with analytical tools such as data warehouse tables; SQL/ Visual Basic - Ability to work with different internal andexternal partners and be able to make decisions based on accurateanalysis. - Ability to manage conflicting priorities in anambiguous environment.
