Backend Developer (f/m/d)

Here’s what you can look forward to

• Work on backend Java web applications for HUK24.de and HUK.de
• Collaborating in a cross-functional team throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• Close coordination with internal clients and support in assessing the technical feasibility of digital innovations
• Contributing to the design of new backend features for the customer frontend
• Developing interfaces to existing backend systems
• Contributing to the deployment, operation, and scaling of highly available backend services
• Use of automated tests (JUnit, Postman/Newman) for continuous quality assurance and optimization

Your Profile

• Degree, vocational training in IT, or comparable qualification with a focus on software development
• Initial practical experience in developing backend applications with Java or Go
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS), REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Interest in DevOps practices such as containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring
• A strong willingness to learn and an interest in continuously familiarizing yourself with new technologies
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in an agile environment, as well as a willingness to actively share knowledge and experiences with colleagues
