Head of Electrical Engineering

Germany | Fully Remote | €150,000 + SharesWe’re working with a growing energy storage and grid infrastructure company that is building out its presence across Germany.They are looking for a Head of Grid Connection to take ownership of their grid strategy and become a key technical decision-maker within the business.This is a role for someone who wants real responsibility and influence. You’ll work closely with the engineering and project teams, shape how the company approaches grid connections, and help build the wider grid function as the business continues to grow.The RoleOwn and develop the company’s grid connection strategy across GermanyLead grid connection activities from early-stage development through to connectionWork closely with the engineering team on HV systems, grid studies and technical solutionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with TSOs, DSOs and other grid stakeholdersAssess connection opportunities and make recommendations on technical and commercial viabilityProvide senior technical input into new projects and investment decisionsHelp develop processes, standards and best practices around grid connectionAct as the internal grid expert, supporting development, engineering and project teamsHelp build and grow the grid connection function as the company scalesMake key decisions around connection strategy, technical approach and prioritiesWhat They’re Looking ForDegree / strong professional background in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineStrong understanding of HV systems and grid infrastructureProven experience managing grid connections for energy infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of the German grid landscape and connection processComfortable communicating directly with TSOs and DSOs at a technical levelExperience working across engineering and project development teamsAble to take ownership and make decisions without needing constant directionC1+ German is essential, with strong English communication skillsIdeally experience within BESS, renewables, grid infrastructure or a similar energy environmentWhy Join?This isn’t a role where you’ll simply manage the existing grid connection process.You’ll have the opportunity to build the strategy, influence technical decisions and shape the team around you.The company is growing, so there is plenty of scope for the right person to take on more responsibility as the business develops.Up to €150,000 salaryShares / equity participationFully remote anywhere in GermanyHigh level of autonomy and decision‑making responsibilityDirect influence over the company’s grid strategyOpportunity to build and grow a teamWork closely with senior engineering and development teamsJoin a business operating at the intersection of energy storage and grid infrastructureIf you’re an experienced grid connection / electrical engineering professional who wants to move into a position where you can own the strategy rather than just deliver someone else’s, this could be a very interesting opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
