IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Configuration, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software components, including operating systems, databases, networks, and applications
• Management of user accounts, access rights, and group policies in Active Directory or comparable directory and management services
• Implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of security measures such as firewalls, antivirus protection, encryption, and access controls
• Troubleshooting technical issues through error analysis, diagnosis, and rapid resolution of hardware, software, and network problems
• Preparing and commissioning IT hardware; installing and configuring operating systems, software, storage media, interfaces, and server services
• Documenting system changes, problem resolutions, and maintenance work to track and improve the IT infrastructure
• Primary point of contact for employees regarding support requests, with responsibility for maintaining the ticket system.

Profile

• Completed training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable IT training program
• Strong knowledge of network technology, particularly in the areas of LAN, WLAN, VLAN, and basic network services
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server, as well as, ideally, experience with Hyper-V virtualization technology
• Basic knowledge of IT security, such as firewalls and access controls
• Enjoyment of solving technical problems and an independent, structured approach to work
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor toward colleagues
• Ability to work well in a team and enjoyment of collaborating in a small IT team
• Interest in new technologies and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development
• Excellent written and spoken German, as well as good written and spoken English
• Experience with Microsoft products and backup solutions such as Veeam is a plus, but not required
