Director - Solution Architecture, Financial Services (m/f/d)

We're looking for a Director – Solution Architecture, Financial Services (m/f/d) to join our team in Frankfurt and surrounding areas, Germany in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will define and lead the solution architecture strategy for large-scale financial services programs, spanning core banking modernization, payments infrastructure, capital markets post-trade platforms, regulatory compliance and Gen-AI-driven transformations. You will drive enterprise-grade designs that ensure scalability, resilience and compliance with European regulations while enabling technology-driven innovation and value creation for our clients.ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the solution architecture vision and roadmap for enterprise-scale financial services engagementsLead architecture design across applications, integrations and infrastructure ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory guidelinesDrive modernization initiatives through cloud-native designs, microservices and emerging technologiesCollaborate with client executives and EPAM delivery leadership to shape solution proposals and delivery outcomesEnsure governance for solution architecture during all program phases and mitigate architecture risksTake ownership of architecture delivery ensuring implementation aligns with solution intentEnable team productivity by embedding AI-augmented practices to automate repeatable architecture activitiesAssess and recommend new technologies including Gen-AI strategies for financial use casesGuide pre-sales pursuits by driving solution shaping, RFP/RFI responses and executive presentationsRequirements15+ years of experience in IT including at least 7+ years in solution architecture rolesDeep expertise in financial services domains including banking, capital markets or paymentsProven ability to lead enterprise architecture for large-scale transformation programsStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and integration frameworksExperience in designing secure, high-availability and regulatory-compliant solutionsFamiliarity with financial regulations such as DORA, MiFID II, PSD2/3, Basel IV and GDPRStrong understanding of enterprise architecture standards such as TOGAF or ZachmanPractical knowledge of Gen-AI tools and their application in architecture and deliveryExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsFluency in English and GermanBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplineNice to haveExperience delivering digital banking or capital markets modernization programsFamiliarity with FS data platforms, Open Banking API ecosystems and event-driven architecturesCertificationsCertifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or TOGAF #J-18808-Ljbffr
